Becoming a Member
The Burlington Welsh Male Chorus invite you to join our team!
The magnificent sound we create is achieved by singing in four-part harmony. Music is a feeling not sound
has been used to describe male voice choral singing. We expect members to have a love for music, attend weekly practices, and participate in concerts—normally one per month in the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Each post-concert afterglow is an added bonus that fulfills the need to cool down after the concert high.
Should you wish to sample the natural tranquilizer released during group singing, consider joining the BWMC!
Contact us if you would like more information on becoming a member or to sit in on one of our rehearsals.
Touring with the Choir
As part of our mandate to increase awareness of Welsh choral singing, we occasionally hit the road to visit locations throughout the region and internationally.
Our first tour was to the Cayman Islands in 2003, followed by the London Welsh Festival of Male Voice Choirs at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2006. In September 2008, the BWMC travelled on a tour of New England, culminating in an invited performance at Carnegie Hall in New York, featuring world-renowned Welsh baritone, Bryn Terfel. There have been a number of other tours to the United States, and also to Montreal and the Maritimes.
